About Allison Moon: Allison Moon is a writer based in Northern California. Her writing has been published in Not For Tourists, Nerve.com, McSweeney’s, and Psychopedia.com.  In 2011, she was named runner-up for the Victoria Hudson Emerging Writer’s Award.  She was recently named a fellow for the Lambda Literary Foundation’s Emerging LGBT Writer’s Program.
During her time as a curator for the LA Gay & Lesbian Center’s Advocate & Gochis Galleries, she was named one of Frontiers Magazine’s “Hot 30 Under 30,” and her curatorial work has been featured in Velvetpark, The Advocate, and Blade.  Her paper “Courting the Lunatic Fringe: Shapeshifting at the Vanguard of Queer Activism and Post-gender Feminism” was accepted into the She-Wolf Conference at the University of Manchester and she presented her paper “The Experimental Art of Ego Dissolution” at the Glaukopis Conference in Black Rock City.  Also at Black Rock City, Allison was the second mayor of Camp Beaverton, Burning Man’s largest home for lesbians and queer women.  In addition to writing, Allison is a sex educator and has presented her trade-mark class, “Girl Sex 101″ and others at the Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco, Dark Odyssey, Sexy Spirits in New York City.

Lunatic Fringe, a queer, feminist werewolf story, is her first novel.
