Creativity for Radicals [VIDEO] – Live at BIL 2012

I’ve been on the road for a while again, and staying busy as I navigate under-employment.  In the midst of all the flux and challenges right now, I’m thrilled to have presented at the BIL Conference.  BIL is a great mix of rocket scientists (literally), porn stars (literally), and geeks of all flavors presenting ideas that inspire them.  My hat + ring was Creativity for Radicals, which you can watch below. It’s a 20 minute version of a longer talk/workshop. It was thrilling to present this at BIL, where, like most conferences, the attendees were mostly white, mostly straight, and mostly middle to upper-middle class.  And I got to talk about white privilege to a good-sized audience.  Win!

I’d love to hear your opinions on my presentation. The video starts kind of shaky as my camera dude figured out where he wanted to sit, but evens out about 1 minute in. I also presented alongside Reid Mihalko in the Masque Sex Positive Boiler Room, which Reid curated. It was a crazy cool space filled with crazy cool sex geekery, so look for that video soon.
